Short-grain rice is considerably wider than it is long. This rice cooks up soft and tender and is known for sticking together and clumping. Brown rice also contains essential vitamins and minerals including magnesium, manganese, potassium, phosphorous, iron, and B-vitamins. Brown rice is a naturally gluten-free, cholesterol-free food and can be enjoyed by nearly everyone.
It is unpolished rice which has high fiber making it more nutritious. The process that produces brown rice removes only the outermost layer, the hull, of the rice kernel and is the least damaging to its nutritional value. Brown rice is better for health than white. Though it is true white rice looks so much more delicious than brown rice, but it does not mean that it is a healthier alternative. According to a study conducted by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, brown rice is the best choice in terms of both nutritional and other inherent healthy benefits.
